A strong partnership between pupils, their parents and the school is a major factor in achieving success in GCSE examinations. Getting off to the right start is essential.
I would, therefore, like to invite you and your child to attend this meeting to be held in school on Wednesday 21 September at 7.00pm. The programme for this meeting will include:
An outline of GCSE assessment – the grading system, controlled assessments, linear exams.
How we intend to track your child’s progress – setting targets, reviewing progress and feeding back to parents.
Ways in which you can help your child achieve the highest grades possible.
A chance to informally discuss any issues with senior members of staff.I do not expect the meeting to take longer than an hour.
I do hope that you will be able to attend.Yours sincerely
