Our mission is to ensure that and enable all pupils to, regardless of ability level, progress to achieve their full potential. The main 3 components of English are: Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening.
The Department consists of 6 dedicated and enthusiastic full-time members of staff, each with a specific area of responsibility;

SENCO	Mrs E Libberton		Head of Special Educational Needs

For those students who may have specific learning needs there is a liaison between the Special Needs Department and the English Department. The Head of the Special Educational Needs Department is Mrs E.Libberton.

There is access to the Learning Resource Centre and the Department has its own set of laptops. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards to aid teaching and to engage pupils.
