At The Hollins we study RE, citizenship & PSHE in every year. In years 7,8 & 9 we follow the Lancashire Agreed Syllabus for RE that allows every student to study Christianity, Islam and Buddhism each year, as well as all of the worlds other six major world religions at least once. Key stage 3 citizenship is split up into year themes that provide the focus for each years study. In year 7 the theme is the school, year 8 is our local community and in year 9 we study global issues. KS3 PSHE is delivered in modules through citizenship time. At KS4 all pupils follow the Edexcel Religion in Life and Society GCSE course that also covers many aspects of KS4 citizenship & PSHE education. Click the links below to find out more! |
